Peer Mediation Training
Peer Mediation Training
Peer Mediation Training is a 15 hour training provided to a select group of students as determined by school staff. The training provides students with the sills needed to serve as peer mediators under the supervision of a faculty advisor and TREATY staff. These skills include active listening, de-escalation techniques, effective communication, and problem solving skills.
Peer Mediation Refresher Training
This 5 hour course provides students with a review of the skills taught in the full 15 hour course. It is recommended that peer mediators complete the refresher course yearly.
Peer Mediation Support Programming
Support Programming includes staff providing ongoing follow-up services including but not limited to continued communication between TREATY staff, peer mediators and peer mediator advisors related to intake support, debriefing and program implementation.
